About the sliding scale
You choose what you can afford within the range. The system operates on trust and keeps the residency accessible without relying on external funding.

Application process
1. Send us an email
Describe your work and what you would use the time for. Include links or images. When you're thinking of coming. No fixed format.
2. We respond
Usually within a week. What follows is a mutual conversation: your needs and intentions, our expectations and capacities, and whether the residency makes sense for the project.
3. Confirm and prepare
Once dates are confirmed, we send practical information and help coordinate your arrival. Pickup from Kakanj or Sarajevo can be arranged.

For Visitors

Literary weekends. One author, one book, one weekend. Four times per year. Programme contribution: 75 EUR single, 100 EUR with partner (includes two nights). More →

Can I bring a partner or family?
Sometimes, depending on capacity and programme. Ask us.
Is it suitable for remote work?
Yes, Wi-Fi is reliable. If your work allows, we encourage disconnection.
Do I need to speak BCS?
No. English and German work fine.
Can I come in winter?
Yes. The house is heated with wood. You participate in keeping the fire going.
